58mph winds in Boulder and 1k reps

Yep, 58mph winds evidently, and we had 7x1k repeats. No worries since it wasn't really pace specific it was more of an effort workout. 7x1k at tempo/LT HR with 3 min rest. We tried to hide from the wind and run in the trees but you just can't avoid it completely so you end up having one with a tail wind and one with a headwind. It all averaged out to about 3:30 pace. Not too bad for tempo at altitude. And there is no way I am running inside just cause it's a bit breezy. Treadmills are only for days when it's sub 30 degrees.

I ran with Cam and he is looking good. Definitely better then last year. So, that should mean some solid top 10's at least, but probably better then that I would guess. Most likely a bunch of podiums. As long as I can hang on Without Limits is looking pretty solid.

Kristen didn't seem to be digging the wind too much. But, in the end it's good for her. Makes ya tough. But she is looking fit, actually looks like a runner. Considering how she is swimming and riding that should put some fear in the women's field. But, they will all underestimate her and blow her off since she is not a "name". I think that will be a standard trend surrounding our team. At least for the first half of the season.

Now an organizational call to Specialized and then 7k or so in the pool.

I think I might need a nap...
